I’m Samantha Ramirez Etheridge, known as Samantha the Starving Artist, or simply SA. Born in Texas and now based in Georgia, I create original paintings that bring together symbolism, emotion, and imagination.
Through a balance of light and dark, color, and detail, I create work that invites a closer look and leaves room for personal interpretation. Each piece begins with a story, but I welcome the meaning others find in it.
I offer original artwork, commissions, prints, and products featuring my designs, giving people different ways to bring art into their homes and everyday lives. Each begins with my creative work and the stories behind it. Whether a piece makes you pause, sparks a conversation, or feels like something of yourself reflected back, that connection matters to me.
Compassion also shapes how I work. Through volunteering, art donations, and fundraising collaborations, I look for practical ways to contribute to my community. My goal is to build an art practice that supports both creative expression and meaningful service.
