Inspired by the ancient lovers discovered embracing in Italy after thousands of years, Till Death explores the enduring nature of devotion, memory, and human connection. This mixed-media piece transforms a remarkable archaeological discovery into a meditation on what remains after time has taken everything else.
 
Embedded within the original work are fragments of old love letters, wedding vows, Bible verses, written promises and declarations of commitment that echo across generations. Blood was incorporated into the paint, contributing to the piece's distinctive warmth and serving as a physical reminder of life's presence within the story. Ash blended into the shadows speaks to loss, transformation, and the inevitable passage of time.
 
Together, these materials create a work that is both intimate and universal. The intertwined figures become more than skeletal remains; they stand as a testament to bonds that endure beyond memory, beyond circumstance, and beyond mortality itself.
